INOVA blood donors could win tickets to MLB All-Star Game

WASHINGTON — If you’re considering donating blood soon, you may want to head to one of the INOVA Blood Donor Services donation centers in Northern Virginia this Friday.

INOVA’s beach towel for donors.

On June 29, the hospital system will be not only giving away beach towels to donors, but also a chance to win admission to Major League Baseball All-Star Game events at Nationals Park in July.

Four lucky donors will be chosen to receive a pair of tickets to the Futures Game on July 15, the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game on July 15, the Home Run Derby on July 16 and the All-Star Game itself on July 17.

Winners will be notified on July 11.

INOVA is also giving away a pair of tickets each for the Eagles and Zac Brown Band concerts at Nats Park on July 26 and 27.

The incentive is designed to boost the inventory of all blood types, since not as many people donate blood during the summer, the hospital said in a news release.

The centers in Annandale, Centreville and Sterling will be participating in the incentive program on Friday.
