Snow day TV binge guide: 22 shows for an extended chill

WASHINGTON — Winter and TV go together like Regal and Beagle, like Boston and Legal, like Mary and Rhoda, like Kathie Lee and Hoda, like Wall and Beal, like Key and Peele, like … similes and ill-advised introductions.

You get the point. Sure, spring’s allegedly made its appearance, but it’s much too snowy to tan, and it’s just weird to al fresco in your coat.

Resolved: Y’all need to bask in your home’s interior, sit down on your posterior and watch shows that are superior.

Check out this painstakingly curated list in the gallery below.

“A.P. Bio” Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton) is a disgraced philosophy professor who didn’t make tenure. Underemployed and angry, he returns to his hometown of Toledo to plot revenge against his wildly successful academic nemesis. Substitute-teaching the high school’s advanced-placement biology class is a somewhat-low priority. And so goes “A.P. Bio,” an exceptionally sharp sitcom from “SNL” writer Mike O’Brien. Howerton has a role that might fit even better than Dennis on “Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Paula Pell and Sterling, Virginia’s own Patton Oswalt are other standouts. Binge it on: NBC.com. “Shrink” David (Tim Baltz) is a half-million in debt after medical school — and his residency just fell through. Before he can think about getting a license, he needs to log 1,920 clinical hours. His solution? Give free psychotherapy in his mom’s garage. Fortunately, plenty of folks could use the help. “Shrink” is inventive, at times touching and very much worth a session.
