President Obama to appear on ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’

WASHINGTON — Things can get a little crazy on the NBC adventure show “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” The survivalist known to take sports and Hollywood celebrities through remote locations around the world will have a presidential addition when Barack Obama stars on the show next year.

President Obama will walk with Grylls through Alaska to highlight the effects of climate change in the area. Obama left for Anchorage Monday.

The episode will air later this year, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet.

In a statement, NBC said Obama will be the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Grylls.

Below is an example of what Obama might be in for.
