WASHINGTON — All D.C. streets that were closed to make way for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday have reopened.
The roads were reopened on a rolling basis; all roads were reopened by 2:20 p.m.
All streets have been reopened in reference to the St Patrick’s Day Parade.

Parking restrictions are still in effect until 4 p.m.
The 48th annual St. Patrick’s Parade kicked off at 12 p.m. Sunday and featured NBC Washington’s Pat Collins as the parade’s grand marshal.
The parade ran westbound along Constitution Avenue NW from 7th to 17th Streets, leading to some road closures, but as of 2:00 p.m., 7th and 14th Streets were open across the mall and the 12th and 9th Street tunnels were open. Constitution Avenue was still blocked west of 14th Street NW.
Here’s what you need to know to get to or around the celebration:
The parade can be accessed from the Smithsonian, Federal Triangle or Archives-Navy Memorial Metro stops.
The following streets were closed from approximately 9 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m.:
- 4th and 7th Street, between Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Independence Avenue, S.W.
The following streets were closed from approximately 11:45 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m.:
- Constitution Avenue, from 6th St NW to 23rd Street NW.
- 9th Street, between Pennsylvania Avenue NW and Constitution Avenue NW.
- 10th Street, between Pennsylvania Avenue NW and Constitution Avenue NW.
- 12th Street, between Pennsylvania Avenue NW and Independence Avenue SW — Southeast/Southwest freeway.
- Access to 12th Street Tunnel, from I-395 ramp SW.
- 14th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue NW to Independence Avenue SW.
- 14th Street Bridge (inbound) all traffic sent to I395 freeway SW.
- 15th Street, between E Street to Constitution Avenue NW.
- 17th Street, between New York Avenue NW to Independence Avenue SW.
- 19th Street, between E Street to Constitution Avenue NW.
- Virginia Avenue, between 20th Street to Constitution Avenue NW.
