ABC News Twitter hacked: Trump ‘is our lord and savior’

WASHINGTON — ABC News’ Twitter account appeared to be hacked early Thursday morning and, predictably, was plunged into nonsensical vulgarities.

Starting some time after 6 a.m., the outlet’s feed was taken over and began spouting curse-laden posts.

One in particular declared that rapper Tyler the Creator had died in a bus crash.

Others tweets that praised President Donald Trump followed.

“we are totally russian hackers, but we love @POTUS @realDonaldTrump ;)” and “trump is our lord and savior.”

For the duration of the hack, the team managing ABC News’ Twitter feed appeared to be in a frenzied battle with their opponents, deleting posts as quickly as they appeared, which prompted the hackers to respond with: “Stop deleting our – – – – BRUH we too cool for dis treatment.”

ABC News seemed to have regained control of their account just before 7 a.m.

In a tweeted statement, ABC News PR acknowledged the hack and noted that the issue was resolved quickly.
