WASHINGTON — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following an investigation by Prince William County police that he raped a girl.
Police said in a news release that at 3 a.m. on April 15, several juveniles were at a hotel on the 7300 block of Old Centreville Road attending a party in one of the rooms and drinking alcohol.
The girl reported that the suspect raped her when she became unconscious. She went home after the sexual assault and two days later told a school resource officer what happened.
Police arrested the suspect, who is being held at a juvenile detention center, on Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.
