WASHINGTON — Prince William County police are investigating a shooting at a Woodbridge motel Monday morning.
Around 8:50 a.m., police responded to the Quality Inn at 1109 Horner Rd. in Woodbridge, Virginia, after staff reported a 54-year-old New York woman walked into the lobby area with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She said a male acquaintance shot her, according to police.
Emergency crews transported the woman to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police weren’t able to contact the 55-year-old New York man still inside the room, and eventually entered with a tactical team. Inside the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Police recovered a gun inside the room.
Police say the man and woman knew each other and the incident was isolated to the room.
