2 dead, 1 hurt in Manassas house fire

WASHINGTON — Two men and four dogs are dead after a house fire in Manassas early Sunday morning.

Prince William County Police officers arrived at the house on the 10300 block of Lomond Drive just after midnight to help the fire department as they fought the fire. When officials checked the home, they found two male bodies. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was flown to an area hospital where he later died.

A third man also suffered extensive burns in the fire and was found walking near the Manassas Mall just before 2 a.m. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Four dogs were also found in the home, all of whom died in the fire.

Police have not identified the victims yet, and both the Prince William County Homicide Unit and the Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating the incident.
