Police search for driver following hit-and-run in College Park

WASHINGTON — Police are looking for a vehicle that struck a man in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Officials say the collision happened around 6 a.m. on Baltimore Avenue at Berwyn House Road. The car was driving southbound when it struck the man, who was in a crosswalk.

The driver did not remain on scene, police said.

Baltimore Avenue is closed in both directions between Berwyn House Road and Navahoe Street.
