Man arrested, charged in fatal Prince George’s County shooting

WASHINGTON — A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged Saturday for his involvement in a fatal shooting last week in Prince George’s County.

Lenard James Grayton, of no fixed address, was arrested at 12 p.m. in the 7200 block of Hanover Drive in Greenbelt, Maryland.

On March 10, around 8:30 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Breezewood Court and Spring Hill Lane in Greenbelt.

When they were checking the area, police received another call of an injured person in the 6100 block of Breezewood Court.

They found a man, Gabriel Hernandez Drake, had been shot.

Drake was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday, Grayton was taken to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
