LAUREL, Md. (AP) — Police in Maryland have arrested a man accused of pointing a gun at a woman during a road-rage incident on Interstate 95.
Uliyahu Ben’Arie Hayah, 41, of Virginia, was arrested Friday after the incident in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
After 2 p.m. Friday, a woman told police that a man flashed a handgun at her on I-95 near the Prince George’s County and Howard County lines, Maryland State Police said. Troopers then stopped a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description after the report. They found the suspect sitting on a handgun in the driver’s seat.
State police said he also had two rifles, including an assault rifle, a shotgun and ammunition in the SUV. Hayah was arrested at the scene and faces charges of use of a firearm in a felony, assault and related counts.
No one was injured, and the investigation is ongoing, state police added.
