29-year-old dies in 2-vehicle crash in Lanham

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating what led up to a fatal two-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County Sunday evening.

Around 9:55 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the intersection of Greenbelt Road at Aerospace Drive in Lanham, Maryland, for a crash involving two vehicles.

An investigation found a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Greenbelt Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Aerospace Drive. The second car, traveling westbound on Greenbelt Road, collided with the other vehicle.

Yenis Guerro, a 29-year-old Alexandria resident, was a passenger in the eastbound vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four additional occupants in the car with Guerro suffered serious injuries, Prince George’s County police said. The driver of the second car sustained minor injuries.

Police are investigating the crash and working to determine which vehicle had the right-of-way when the crash occurred.
