Md. man who was shot, crashed car dies

WASHINGTON — A Springdale, Maryland, man who crashed his car into a tree after he was shot Tuesday has died, police say.

Bernard Parker, 59, died of his injuries late Tuesday night, according to Prince George’s County police.

Parker was shot inside his car before he crashed in the 3700 block of Ladova Way about 1 p.m.

When police arrived, they found the empty car but no driver. Parker had already been taken to the hospital.

His death is now being investigated as a homicide, police say.
