Maryland woman faces murder charge for Temple Hills stabbing

WASHINGTON– Prince George’s County Police have arrested a woman in connection with a murder in Temple Hills Friday.

The suspect is 45-year-old GiGi Marie Thomas of the 5700 block of Linda Lane in Temple Hills.

Police were called to the 5700 block of Linda Lane around 7:50 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found a man inside suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and has since been named as 42-year-old Devale Lamont Avery of Clear Creek Drive in Fort Washington.

Detectives say it appears an argument between the suspect and victim escalated into the fatal stabbing.

Thomas is facing a charge of first degree murder and is being held without bond.
