WASHINGTON– An apartment in District Heights, Maryland is being evacuated after a car crashed into the building.
EMS crews responded to reports of a car that had crashed into an apartment building in the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue. Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady reports that the female driver was trapped inside the car, but was successfully removed from the vehicle.
The driver was taken to a trauma center in critical condition, but has since been declared “deceased on scene.” Brady says there may be evidence of a gunshot wound. The area around the crash is now a crime scene.
