WASHINGTON – A 28-year-old suspect was arrested Sunday in connection to a domestic-related homicide.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Branch Avenue around 5 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing. Officers found a victim with an apparent stab wound inside an apartment, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police arrested Portia Nikkia Williams. Investigators said, in a release, Williams went into the victim’s home and got into an argument, which escalated to a stabbing. Williams was still in the apartment when police arrived.
According to police, the victim and Williams had been in a romantic relationship.
Williams is charged with second degree murder and first degree assault.
