WASHINGTON — On Thursday, American voters will get their first look at a crowded field of Republican presidential candidates for 2016.
Ten of the 17 hopefuls will debate on Fox News. The candidates were selected based on an average of the five most recent national polls.
The field is as follows: Donald Trump; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker; former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson; Texas Sen. Ted Cruz; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio; Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul; New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie; and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
Those who didn’t make the top 10 will be invited to a separate 5 p.m. debate, according to Fox News. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry; former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; former HP CEO Carly Fiorina; South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham; former New York Gov. George Pataki; and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore.
Of course, you could watch the debate at home, but what’s the fun in that? Here’s a list of local bars where you can watch the festivities. (Some of these come courtesy of DCist.) Pregame analysis, Debate Bingo and more await!
