WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama delivers his State of the Union address to Congress at 9 p.m. Tuesday, and if you’re looking for a State of the Union watch party, we’ve put together a list:
- The Center for Global Development is throwing a State of the Union Game Night (we’re talking bingo) starting at 7:30 p.m. at their building on L Street NW. They’ll also have pre-SOTU trivia game at 8 p.m.
- Generation Opportunity’s second annual State of the Union Watch Party starts at 8 p.m. at Capitol Lounge, and includes free drinks, free food, games and fun.
- GVH Live is teaming with iCitizen and other groups to host a State of the Union Millennial Watch Party in Arlington. It starts at 7 p.m. at GVH Live’s studio. Students in the D.C. region are invited to attend, and admission is free when you register.
- The nonprofit group IMPACT is hosting a State of the Union Watch Party at Busboys and Poets at 5th and K Streets. It starts at 8 p.m., and you need to RSVP.
- Network For Progress and several partners are throwing a State of the Union Watch Party stating at 6:30 p.m. at Local Sixteen. At last check, some $5 tickets remain; otherwise, you’ll pay a little more at the door. Look for $5 appetizer and drink specials, as well as free pizza starting at 7 p.m. for those who show up early.
- Shiloh Baptist Church’s State of the Union Watch Party starts at 9 p.m. at the church, in Northwest. The doors open at 8 p.m., light refreshments will be served, and you’re asked to RSVP.
- Stand Up! For Democracy in DC and Organizing For America host their State of the Union Watch Party starting at 8:15 p.m. at the Busboys and Poets location on 14th St.
- Young Professionals in Energy holds its annual State of the Union Watch Party at 201 Bar, starting at 7 p.m.
