2016 NFL Week 16 Recap

Dak Prescott went 5-of-6 for 113 yards and 3 TD on passes thrown 15+ yards downfield, after throwing only three such TD passes in his previous seven games combined. If he’s suddenly got this deep ball thing down pat, the NFC playoff bracket is in a world of trouble. And Andre Roberts…you should quit while you’re behind. https://twitter.com/meninisttweet/status/813599492792406017 (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

Ravens 27
Steelers 31 Nobody had a better Christmas than Pittsburgh: Le’Veon Bell continued his historic run, Big Ben’s game-winning TD put him ahead of John Elway on the all-time TD list, and the Steelers notched their milestone 600th regular season win to clinch the AFC North and the 3-seed in the AFC. Meanwhile, Baltimore is home for the holidays because their overrated defense has given up an average of 29 points in their last three games. The Ravens need more than just good health and an angry Terrell Suggs to help that defense in 2017. (Photo by Joe Sargent/Getty Images)
KANSAS CITY, MO - DECEMBER 25: Tyreek Hill #10 of the Kansas City Chiefs carries the ball on his way to scoring during the 1st quarter of the game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on December 25, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Reed Hoffmann/Getty Images)
Broncos 10
Chiefs 33 Remember when Denver had a dominant defense? The unit tasked with offsetting the damage done by their flat-out awful offense allowed Kansas City to score two 70-plus yard offensive touchdowns in a game for the first time in almost 50 years. The Broncos have a lot of offseason work to do if they’re going to make a return trip to the playoffs in 2017, let alone the Super Bowl. (Photo by Reed Hoffmann/Getty Images)

Bears 21 Here’s some free advice for the Redskins: You’re 8-1-1 when you have 20 or more rushing attempts and 0-5 when you don’t. Maybe ring in the new year by running the ball against the Giants. Here’s some more free advice for Kirk Cousins: Stop letting your wife pick your clothes. (AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh)

Bills 31 (OT) Apparently, Jay Ajayi loves playing Buffalo more than Mario Williams does; Ajayi’s 420 yards and three TDs in two games this season have sullied what’s left of Rex Ryan’s reputation. (Photo by Rich Barnes/Getty Images)

Titans 17
Jaguars 38 For the first time this season, Jacksonville actually made some positive history: Blake Bortles and Marqise Lee became the first pair of teammates with a TD pass and TD catch in a same game since Jim McMahon and Walter Payton did so with the ’85 Bears. That’s obviously where the similarities between these teams ends. (Photo by Rob Foldy/Getty Images)
GREEN BAY, WI - DECEMBER 24: Jordy Nelson #87 of the Green Bay Packers breaks a tackle by Andrew Sendejo #34 of the Minnesota Vikings during the second quarter of a game at Lambeau Field on December 24, 2016 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images)
Vikings 25
Packers 38 Just when we thought this was the perfect encapsulation of Minnesota’s season, an even worse reality took place when the Vikings defense went rogue. It’s going to be a long offseason in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers now has tied the league record with four seasons with 35-plus TDs and is in the midst of a six-game hot streak (14 TDs, no picks). Nobody wants to see Green Bay right now. CHARLOTTE, NC - DECEMBER 24: Greg Olsen #88 of the Carolina Panthers runs the ball against Keanu Neal #22 of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2nd half during their game at Bank of America Stadium on December 24, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images)

Panthers 16 Lost in Carolina’s lost season (the Panthers are the first team since 2007 to post a losing season after a Super Bowl appearance) is just how great Greg Olsen is. He’s the first tight end in NFL history with 1,000 receiving yards in three consecutive seasons. (Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images)

Colts 25
Raiders 33 Oakland has their first 12-win season since 2000 and an NFL-best seven Pro Bowlers…and it’s all tainted now that Derek Carr is presumably out for the season. What a deflating blow to the Raiders’ resurgence. (Photo by Brian Bahr/Getty Images)

Bengals 10
Texans 12 Here’s how the AFC South was won: Houston is 5-0 in-division and 4-6 outside. Tennessee is 1-4 in-division and 7-3 outside. That’s obviously good enough to win a crappy division, but the Texans better figure out Tom Savage if they want to do anything beyond that. (Photo by Tim Warner/Getty Images)
