The company said it had net income of $19.2 million, or 5 cents per share.
The seniors housing real estate investment trust, based in Chicago, posted revenue of $1.24 billion in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.21 billion.
Ventas expects full-year funds from operations in the range of $3.14 to $3.18 per share.
