Greater Washington CBRE executive Jill Goubeaux dies

Jill Goubeaux, a D.C. commercial real estate veteran who spent more than three decades in the business, died Sept. 10 after suffering a pulmonary embolism. She was 60.

Goubeaux was senior vice president of investor leasing at CBRE’s D.C. office since 2017. She also served for 14 years as senior vice president at what is now JBG Smith Properties, where she also did office leasing.

She spent the early years of her career with the Weissberg Companies and Cassidy & Pinkard, now known as the Pinkard Group.

“My mother entered the industry in the 1980s and from day one was just an advocate for and just a shining example of the advancement of women’s initiatives in the commercial real estate industry,” her son, Matt Goubeaux told me in an interview. He also works at CBRE as an associate.

Goubeaux, according to her family, was responsible for leasing much of L’Enfant Plaza. She leased up and down the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, including the mixed-use Central Place project in Rosslyn…
