A Norwegian airline is launching direct flights between Dulles International Airport and an airport not far from London, starting this summer, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced.
On June 1, Arendal, Norway-based Norse Atlantic Airways will officially start its nonstop service between Dulles and Gatwick Airport, an international airport located 30 miles south of London and the second-largest in the United Kingdom. This new service marks Dulles’ first connection to Gatwick and Norse Atlantic’s first flights at the local airport.
The service includes six flights per week, everyday but Tuesdays. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will lead the flights, with economy and premium economy cabin options for passengers, the airline said, offering budget fares.
