Toll rates for drivers on the Dulles Toll Road will officially increase at the start of 2023.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority board approved the hike during its Wednesday meeting. The largest increase will affect most riders of the key corridor — those with two-axle and three-axle vehicles like cars, vans, and pickup, dumpster and tow trucks.
Here’s the breakdown of the current toll rate increases on the Main Line Plaza, and what the new prices will be, starting Jan. 1:
For two-axle vehicles: $3.25 to rise to $4
Three-axle: $6.50 to rise to $8
Four-axle: $7.75 to rise to $9.25
Five-axle: $9 to rise to $10.50
Six or more axles: $10.25 to rise to $11.75.
And here are the current rates on the toll road’s ramps, and what’s proposed for 2023:
For two-axle vehicles: $1.50 to rise to $2
Three-axle: $3 to rise to $4
Four-axle: $3.50 to rise to $4.50
Five-axle: $4 to rise to $5
Six or more axles: $4.50 to rise to $5.50.
