The two residential real estate brokerages that regularly crack the list of top 10 largest D.C.-area based private companies have proven themselves once again to be masters of the really big deal.
TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and Washington Fine Properties have played a role in 23 of the 26 biggest single-family property sales in the D.C. area so far this year, according to data provided by BrightMLS, the listing service, and public records compiled by the Washington Business Journal. Members of those firms brought the seller, the buyer, or both, to a host of deals ranging from just north of $6 million to $23 million, the top sale of 2022 as of Oct. 3.
In our most recent private companies List, published Sept. 23, TTR Sotheby’s came in at No. 7 and WFP at No. 8. The only private companies that ranked higher by 2021 revenue: Mars Inc., Bechtel Corp., Carahsoft Technology Corp., Peraton Corp., Clark Group and Total Wine.
