Dulles Toll Road drivers could see toll hikes in 2023

The current toll rates for drivers on the Dulles Toll Road are scheduled to rise starting Jan. 1, 2023, pending approval by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority board. 

The largest increase, if approved, will affect most riders of the toll road — those with two-axle and three-axle vehicles, such as cars, vans, or pickup, dumpster or tow trucks. For those vehicles, the proposed toll would see a 23% hike for the road’s Main Line Plaza and 33% hike on the ramps. 

Staff of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which is responsible for managing the Dulles Toll Road and overseeing toll rates, will ask members of the joint Dulles Corridor and finance committee to approve the toll rate increase, per an agenda published Monday evening, ahead of the group’s Wednesday board meeting.
