A modern flea market with roots in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is opening in D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood.
Artists & Fleas has leased 20,500 square feet in the historic market building at 3276 M St. NW that until August housed Dean & Deluca, according to a press release. Washingtonian first reported the opening.
The flea market will have more than 30 makers from the D.C. area and the Mid-Atlantic region more widely. It will sell wares from independent artists, designers, sellers of vintage items and food purveyors, according to a release. Other locations have small businesses that sell everything from handmade jewelry and clothing to vinyl records and locally made soaps and personal care products.
Artists & Fleas other locations are in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, SoHo and Chelsea in Manhattan, and Venice in Los Angeles.
