Where SEC Schools Rank Among the 2017 U.S. News Best Colleges

How SEC Schools Rank Off the Gridiron

The SEC almost always has a team near No. 1 of the nation’s top 25 college football polls, but when it comes to overall quality, the SEC schools don’t quite match up to those in the Big Ten.

Only five SEC schools rank among the top 100 in the 2017 U.S. News Best National Universities rankings. In comparison, all but one of the Big Ten schools rank inside the top 100, with five of them inside the top 50.
