See Green With 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Sales

Leprechauns aren’t the only ones who will find pots of gold at the end of the rainbow on March 17. Discover a reward of your own by shopping these sale events from major retail stores. And no, you don’t have to be Irish.

Amazon

St. Patrick’s Day is synonymous with green, shamrocks and … deals? It’s odd, but true. Visit Amazon and you’ll see a whole page dedicated to the holiday. The popular online marketplace is rolling out its Luck O’ the Irish sale with a series of limited-time deals.

Through March 18 you can find up to 50 percent off select Celtic rings for men. Also ending March 18, you can snag 50 percent or more off select green fashion jewelry. It’s not all Irish-themed products, though. Other featured sale items include MP3 players, wireless speakers and phone accessories. Check Amazon for specific deals, prices and dates of availability.

Kay

St. Patrick’s Day likely isn’t the first holiday you’d associate with jewelry, but maybe it should be. Jewelry store Kay has an online-only St. Patrick’s Day deals event, and it boasts discounts of up to 40 percent off on select necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings.

Shoppers can save on everything from emerald heart sterling silver necklaces to four-leaf clover and horseshoe-inspired accessories. Sale prices are effective through 11:59 p.m. ET on March 17.

Kohl’s

Kohl’s has discounts on an array of St. Patrick’s Day-themed products. The retailer has marked down more than 100 products, including select juniors’ T-shirts, women’s jewelry, men’s shirts and children’s shoes. Find one that fits you (and your budget).

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is offering 30 percent off its selection of St. Patrick’s Day seasonal items. Choose from a variety of discounted products ideal for decorating houses, offices and classrooms. The reduced-price merchandise selection includes garland, garden flags and even leprechaun figurines.

Shari’s Berries

Online treat shop Shari’s Berries promises to deliver “gifts that (sham) rock” this March. The specialty chocolate gifts retailer has lowered its prices on a variety of seasonal sweets, including various arrangements of dipped St. Patrick’s Day strawberries.

If that’s not enticing enough, enter coupon code “BERRY20” at checkout to save 20 percent on orders over $29. This offer expires on March 26.

Party City

It’s not St. Patrick’s Day without a party, right? At Party City, you can stock up on hats, headbands, beads and jewelry — all starting at just 99 cents. If you opt to shop online, be sure to place your order before 5 p.m. CT on March 13 and choose next day air shipping to get your supplies delivered in time.

You’re in Luck

Getting a good deal doesn’t have to be as difficult as finding a four-leaf clover. No matter which mid-March sale event you choose to shop, keep these four tips in mind:

1. Print. Is the retailer’s St. Patrick’s Day promotion an online-only special, or is it also available in-store? If the discount extends to in-store purchases, don’t forget to bring the physical ad with you to ensure you get the advertised price. Print out any coupons or have them handy on your smartphone if the retailer honors digital versions.

2. Promo codes. Some sales are applied directly to a product’s price without any action required on the part of the shopper, but others require customers to type in a promo code. When shopping online, always input qualifying coupon codes at checkout to guarantee the discount is applied to your order.

3. Prioritize. If you have your eye on limited-time sales — like those at Amazon — or limited-quantity products, prioritize which deal is most important to you and act on that one first.

4. Price compare. Is that St. Patty’s Day sale price truly the best offer out there? Don’t let the green-themed sale banners stop you from comparing prices among retailers. Cross-check products at multiple stores so you won’t end up green with envy if you spring for a worse price.
