‘Frozen’ sequel is no fairytale

WASHINGTON –Fans of Frozen are unlikely to let this go. Idina Menzel, whose
voice animated beloved character Elsa and is the voice behind the Oscar winning theme
song, “Let it Go,” has confirmed that there will be a sequel.

Without providing much detail, Menzel told The Guardian in an interview that a
follow-up to the 2013 smash hit is “in the works.”

This is no big surprise, as Disney announced a six-minute short in September. And it
also makes sense, considering that the original made $1.27 billion at the box office
and spawned a merchandising frenzy that is expected to last throughout the holiday
shopping season.
