WASHINGTON — Think of it as the cheat sheet for holiday travel.
The Virginia Department of Transportation has released its Travel-Trend Map
for
Thanksgiving.
The tool provides an interactive look at the best — er, least terrible —
times
to hit the road to grandma’s.
The predictive map uses data from recent years, broken down in 30-minute
intervals.
Broadly, the most congested travel times are Wednesday afternoon and Saturday
and Sunday afternoons.
