WASHINGTON — Ridership on Metro’s Silver Line is steadily picking up, and so
is ridership on Fairfax Connector buses that serve Metro’s newest rail line.
The number of riders on buses along the Dulles corridor to Tysons Corner is up 4
percent on weekdays and 7 percent on the weekends, The Washington Post reports.
Nearly half of the Fairfax Connector’s service changed over the summer when the
Silver Line opened.
The bus system makes 30,000 weekday trips to and from the new Metro stations.
In January, Fairfax Connector will make changes to 29 routes. The changes will
adjust to traffic conditions near the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.
