WASHINGTON — On Saturday, Katy Perry said on ESPN, “I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl.” She’s reportedly changed her mind.
Page Six reports that “a deal is being hammered out” for Perry to play at halftime of the game Feb. 1.
The NFL doesn’t pay acts to play the halftime show; this summer, the NFL reportedly planned to charge acts a fee, as well as take a cut of future touring revenue, to play the show.
No word yet on whether any money will change hands.
