A look at the Fall Experimental Football League:

Boston Brawlers: Coach — Terry Shea, former Rutgers and San Jose State head coach, Stanford offensive coordinator, NFL quarterbacks coach. Stadium — Harvard Stadium (30,323). Notable players — QB Tajh Boyd (Clemson), LB Ronnell Lewis (Oklahoma), DB Hakeem Smith (Louisville).

Brooklyn Bolts: Coach — John Brock, former Florida Atlantic assistant. Stadium — MCU Park (10,000). Notable players — OL Mike Golic (Notre Dame), TE A.C. Leonard (Florida), DL Jamil Merrell (Rutgers).

Omaha Mammoths: Coach — Sandy Buda, former head coach of Nebraska-Omaha and Omaha Beef indoor team. Stadium — TD Ameritrade Park (24,500). Notable players — QB Jordan Jefferson (LSU), LB Adrian Hamilton (Prairie View A&M), LB Mister Alexander (Florida State).

Blacktips: Coach: John Jenkins, former University of Houston coach, also coached in USFL and CFL. No stadium. Notable players — DB Ciante Evans (Nebraska), DB Randy Ponder (Missouri), LB Shelly Lyons (Arizona State).

Season: Six weeks ending Nov. 12, with games on Wednesdays and Fridays. Boston, Brooklyn and Omaha play 5 games apiece; Blacktips play 3 games.

Special rules: Kickoffs from 25-yard line, PATs are kicked from 35 yards.

Media: Select games are streamed on ESPN3 and televised on regional cable networks.
