DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Lil Bit O’Fun rallied from far back to win the $95,500 Wickerr Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths at Del Mar on Wednesday.
Ridden by Aaron Gryder, Lil Bit O’Fun ran a mile on the turf in 1:32.35 and paid $43.60, $17.20 and $8.40.
Rangi returned $19.40 and $9.20 at 19-1 odds, while Bright Thought was another nose back in third and paid $5.80 to show.
No Jet Lag, the 2-1 favorite, finished eighth after bearing out badly on the clubhouse turn.
The victory, worth $56,700, increased Lil Bit O’Fun’s career earnings to $392,773, with seven wins in 32 starts. It was the 6-year-old gelding’s third straight win since being claimed for $40,000 last summer at Del Mar.
