NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — The U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe will install a new leader during a ceremony this week at Naval Station Norfolk.
Lt. Gen. Robert B. Neller will relieve Lt. Gen. R.T. Tryon during a change-of-command ceremony Tuesday morning.
Tryon has served as commander for one year. He is retiring after 44 years of active-duty service.
Neller has served as commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command since September 2012.
U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command is headquartered at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany.
