Farmers Insurance to keep sponsoring Kahne

BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — Farmers Insurance will keep sponsoring Kasey Kahne’s Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet for an additional three years.

The NASCAR driver says it’s exciting to have Farmers Insurance as part of the No. 5 Sprint Cup team. The Los Angeles-based company will be featured as primary sponsor in 12 Cup races annually, including the season-opening Daytona 500. The agreement covers the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Farmers Insurance has been a sponsor with Kahne since he joined Hendrick Motorsports in 2011. Last month, Nationwide Insurance announced that it would be a sponsor for Dale Earnhardt Jr. — Kahne’s teammate with Hendrick — for the 2015 through 2017 seasons.
