Judge Rules In Favor Of White Flint Mall — A federal court judge again ruled in favor of White Flint Mall in its case against department store and anchor tenant Lord & Taylor. Lord & Taylor sued the mall last year for violating the original terms of its lease, in an attempt to stop the mall’s redevelopment. Judge Roger Titus ruled earlier this month that Lord & Taylor failed to show it would “suffer irreparable injury” if redevelopment happened. He also said the store waited too long to request an injunction. [Washington Business Journal]

Fire At Empty House — A fire in an apparently empty house in the 8400 block of Irvington Avenue left a burned-out top floor and about $300,000 in damages. No one was injured and about 50 firefighters reported to the fire, which started in an attic by an electrical malfunction Sunday night. [The Gazette]

Warming Up — After that light snow, expect things to warm up throughout the week. Temperatures on Friday could reach into the 60s. [Capital Weather Gang]
