WASHINGTON – Police are trying to identify a man found dead along a walking path in Reston Monday morning.
Fairfax County Police say a passerby was walking on the path near French Horn Lane when he saw the unidentified man’s body lying in the mulch next to a swing set about 11:20 a.m. Monday.
Investigators do not suspect foul play in the man’s death, police say.
Police believe the unidentified man was either coming to or from the main path and was likely exercising. Police did not find any identification on the man and no missing persons reports have been filed that would help identify him.
The man is described as having an average build, is about 5-foot-10, and has dark, graying hair, a six-inch surgical scar along his right hip and no facial hair. He is possibly in this 50s, police say.
He was wearing black sweatpants, a blank long-sleeve shirt underneath a gray T- shirt, black socks, black New Balance shoes, and a black knit cap. He wore no jewelry or watch.
