WASHINGTON – The late evening hours and early morning hours of Jan. 2 and 3 are the best times to view the Quadrantid meteor shower in the northern hemisphere. A live stream of the meteor shower is available below.
According to NASA, the meteor rates increase around midnight on Wednesday, Jan. 2 and peak between 3 a.m. and dawn on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
To best view the Quadrantids, make sure to look straight up at a cloudless sky, away from city lights.
