What are your best bets for online shopping?

WASHINGTON – When it comes to shopping, it’s hard to tell which websites have the best bargains.

Smart Money points to sites, such as Bing, which offers a feature to compare prices as well as virtual shopping lists.

Decide.com collects data on price fluctuations and can help buyers decide whether they should buy now or buy later – but users do need to sign up to use the service.

PriceGrabber also tracks prices over time. The best feature: users can set alerts for items when they drop below a certain price.

Smart Money says Google Shopping will offer buyers the safest shopping experience. With big pictures and the ability to narrow lists by websites combined with the recent redesign, it’s a solid go-to.

Pronto.com lets shoppers narrow down their search categories to tiny details, such as the type of smartphone they need an accessory for or what color they’d like for a digital camera. The ratings aren’t that reliable, but the search options may make up for it.
