WASHINGTON – Low-resolution video is now available of the Curiosity rover’s landing — better known to some as the “seven minutes of terror.”
The stop-motion video is from the last 2 minutes and 30 seconds of the dangerous landing. Though the video is small and not of highest quality, separation from the heat shield and speed are obvious as Curiosity approaches the surface of Mars.
Curiosity will send higher resolution video in the future — this is just considered a “sneak peak.”
