Experts say you should avoid any repairs that require heavy equipment, especially outdoors.
Ken Collier, editor-in-chief of The Family Handyman, tells USA TODAY if it’s a smaller job, such as a leaky faucet or repairing drywall, you can actually save money and boost your pride by doing it yourself.
The bottom line: Use common sense, take your time and it probably wouldn’t hurt to read some Internet advice and watch some videos.
