WASHINGTON — A 92-year-old driver’s mistake in Mayville, Wisconsin is raising concerns about older drivers.
While leaving Mountain’s Piggly Wiggly, the man managed to smash into nine vehicles in less than 1 minute last Friday. There were people in two of the vehicles.
“Something happened with his foot His foot got stuck on the accelerator, and from that point, he panicked and lost control of his vehicle,” Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill tells ABC2.
“I can tell you in 23 years of law enforcement, I’ve never seen anything like this,” MacNeil says.
The driver won’t be cited because it’s considered an accident.
