Katy Perry announces Verizon Center concert on new ‘Witness’ album tour

WASHINGTON — Katy Perry is coming to D.C.

The pop superstar will perform Sept. 25 at Verizon Center in Chinatown.

Tickets go on pre-sale this Thursday before the general public Monday, May 22 at 10 a.m.

The North American tour is timed with her upcoming album “Witness,” which arrives on June 9 and has already spawned two singles so far: “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit.”

This is Perry’s first tour since 2015, beginning Sept. 7 in Columbus, Ohio and running through Feb. 5.

Fans who buy a concert ticket will also receive a copy of the album.

Perry is slated to perform on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
