Man struck by train in Montgomery Co.

WASHINGTON — A man was killed when he was struck by a train in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Montgomery County police responded to a report that a pedestrian was struck by a MARC commuter train on the tracks in the Germantown area on Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. The train was going westbound.

Police found that the man was in the area of the tracks, and police are still investigating why he was there. The victim died from his injuries at the scene.
