SHARPTOWN, Md. — Police in Maryland say that a woman has been charged in the shooting death of her husband.
The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that police said the killing occurred on Friday night in Wicomico County. Maryland State Police said they arrested Sharon Kohlhoff of Sharptown. She faces charges that include first degree murder and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicates that she and her husband were having marital problems. Police also said Kohlhoff had contacted police earlier that night to inquire about how to obtain a protective order. But police said she did not report any type of assault or request any further assistance.
