Woman hit and killed by driver in stolen car in Capitol Heights

A woman died after being struck by a stolen car in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Saturday afternoon and police are now looking for both the driver and passenger.

Officers found 20-year-old Dyanny Leiva Sabillon of Capitol Heights, critically injured at the 6700 block of Calmos Street in Capitol Heights at around 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to a news release, she died shortly after being taken to a local hospital.

Police said the driver and passenger were traveling north on Calmos Street when they struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. They then struck Sabillon while she was entering or exiting her car, according to authorities.

The driver then struck multiple parked and unoccupied vehicles before coming to a stop, police said. The driver and passenger jumped out of the car and ran away from the scene, leaving behind the stolen vehicle.

Police are still searching for the driver and passenger involved in the hit-and-run but did not provide a description.
