New parking restrictions along the marathon route could cause a headache for residents who will be required to move their cars. Metro will limit its track work so participants and fans can use the system on Saturday.
WASHINGTON – Metro track work will be limited Saturday due to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, but single-tracking is still scheduled for later that night and on Sunday.
While regular service is scheduled during the day Saturday, Metro plans single-tracking on the Blue, Orange, Silver, Red and Green lines after 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and all day Sunday
The Orange and Blue lines will single-track between Smithsonian and Federal Center SW, with Silver Line trains only running between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston during those times. Each line will be scheduled every 20 minutes.
