WASHINGTON — A 10-acre “campus” in Manassas, Virginia, is combining three of life’s finest pleasures — craft beer, food and music — into one concept.

At Farm Brew LIVE, visitors will discover 2 Silos Brewing Company, an outdoor music venue, a barbecue spot and beer garden, and a food truck. The Black Sheep whiskey, wine and noshery, with a menu of crafted whiskeys and wines, is forthcoming.

WTOP’s Mary DePompa recently went to check out the space — here’s her report:

I knew the idea sounded cool when I spoke with Meredith Arnest, from Villagio Hospitality Group, as she described a new destination for live outdoor music and craft beer. But seeing was believing when I picked just the right afternoon in the middle of March to visit the venue and experience Farm View LIVE for myself.

While on the campus, you will notice the construction area off to one side as work on The Black Sheep whiskey, winery and noshery continues on the renovated Thomasson’s Barn. Farm View LIVE encompasses roughly 10-acres and is located in Prince William County’s Innovation Park. It’s billed as a place to bring family and friends together while enjoying craft beer, craft food and good music.

This all-in-one music venue, barbecue pit and craft brewery is still expanding. The 2 Silos Brewing Company features a beer garden bar and a tasting room with live music. There is a kitchenette inside with a loft that over looks the outdoor music venue, dubbed The Yard, which has a dining area and game spot with a patio section.

After being vacant for more than 40 years, this 1929 dairy farm barn is being revamped for yet another portion of this sprawling complex.

The vintage barn will keep much of its rustic flair and will also feature a dedicated arts and entertainment space. There will be private dining rooms as well as seating for more than 200, both inside and out, with two full-service bars.

This spring will be Farm Brew LIVE’s inaugural season to experience outdoor music and dining with friends and family at The Yard Stage.

There is ample parking and signage posted just off I-66. If you’ve ever been to a Jiffy Lube Live concert, just off of the Prince William Parkway, you’ll now have a new meeting area — and it’s always a plus when kids and pets are welcome too.
