The Hunt: Insight into the Austin package-bombing wave

WASHINGTON — The Austin bomber is likely dead: After 18 days of terror, 24-year-old Mark Anthony Conditt blew himself up as authorities closed in on him at a hotel north of Austin, Texas. Authorities fairly sure, though not certain, he was the only bomber.

Fred Burton, chief security officer at Stratfor, said authorities found one unexploded package that likely helped their investigation tremendously.
